To all who visit these pages, whether you're a Knight or Dame of this Order or just curious, welcome! We hope these pages will help you understand who we really are and clear up some old myths. First, let us be clear: we are not a secret society. We have no secrets at all. We are an open Christian organisation that welcomes all denominations, with a long and respected history, and we strive to uphold the ideals of chivalry in today's world. We have no ties to any political party and remain strictly non-political, with no political aims or goals. We are not a historical or re-enactment society either. Whilst some members may be Freemasons, our organisation is not Masonic and has no links to Freemasonry. Nine centuries after the founding of the Order of the Temple, the Grand Priory of England (OSMTH England) stands among Templar organisations working to preserve the noble traditions of the Knights Templar today. At the same time, we raise money for various charities chosen each year—past recipients include Help 4 Heroes, Bus Stop, The Rainbow Trust, and, most recently, Blind Veterans.
